Body Language In Australia

Before you visit Australia, it's so important to understand how body language is there. because the body language in each country must be different. Don't let us do things that Australians shouldn't do or they will think that you are rude.

- When calling someone, an Australian calls out by raising their hand and waving with their palms facing forward.

- When yawning so as to close the mouth.

- When talking, eye contact in Australia is allowed, as long as it is not too long as it can make Australians feel uncomfortable.

- Maybe when talking to a group of people to make the same eye contact with everyone so it doesn't look like only certain people are being talked to while others are ignored. however, Aboriginal people are more likely to avert their eyes during communication because it means disrespectful attitude, especially eye contact with people who are considered older.

- Lifting the middle finger or making a "V" sign with the index and middle fingers and palms facing in is considered very rude in Australia.

- In Australia, pointing directly with your index finger at someone is considered impolite.

- In physical contact, Australians do not touch other people's bodies much unless they are close friends. Even touching the shoulders and arms is considered a sexual urge.

    1. The thumbs-up gesture can be interpreted by some as rude. To indicate approval or agreement, it is more common to make a circle with the thumb and forefinger with the other fingers extended
